Out-Fit is designed by and for members and friends of the LGBT community who aspire to compete, make newconnections and celebrate community via outdoor endurance sports.
Out-Fit is the first ever mass obstacle or mud run focused primarily on the LGBT community. The company was created as a fun alternative to meet people and make meaningful connections outside of the bar or club scene. In addition, the company provides proceeds of every dollar earned to a national and local LGBT charity organization that is striving to make a positive difference in the lives of LGBT individuals.
No, all are welcomed and encouraged to join in the fun and challenge.
You have to be at least 14 years old to run on your own. If you are under the age of 14, you need to run with an adult.
This event is doable for anyone who is able to walk/run 4 miles and can manage to climb a ladder without difficulty.
Doing cardio is essential but need not be as tedious as you may think. Thirty-40 minutes, four or five days each week, will do the trick. Do your cardio sessions first thing in the morning on an empty stomach (or later in the evening after not eating for a few hours) to maximize the results. Thirty minutes of moderate cardio burns approximately 300 cal in an average-sized person. Cardio will also boost your metabolism post-exercise (increasing calorie expenditure significantly) and turn your body into a fat-burning machine!

Unfortunately, refunds will not be offered.
If you wish to withdraw from an event you may receive an event credit to a future Out-Fit Challenge event. You must notify us in writing of your intent to withdraw and meet one of the following scenarios.
1) You notify us more than 30 days prior to the start of an event weekend of your withdrawal you will receive a 100% credit towards a future event.. This credit only covers the race entry fee. Processing fees and online registration fees will not be included with your credit.
2) If you have a medical reason, you will need to provide a signed doctor’s letter advising us that you are not able to compete. This letter must be received by Out-Fit Challenge at least 14 days prior to the event weekend in order for you to receive your event credit. This credit only covers the race entry fee. Processing fees and online registration fees will not be included in your credit.
If you have an injury or a member of your immediate family has a death or a medical emergency and it is within 14 days of the scheduled event yet greater than 72 hours prior to the event, you will need to notify us in writing. The race director will consider each request on a case by case basis after the event, for future Out-Fit Challenge event credit.
No credits will be issued with less than 72 hours prior written notice to event weekend.
** Returned checks or declined credit cards will incur a $20 processing fee
Yes, you can transfer your registration to a friend at a cost of $25 to cover the administrative costs.

We welcome spectators! Spectators are allowed in designated areas and expected to pay an entrance fee that also allows them to attend the post-event party and get one free beer!
Trail running shoes or sturdy running shoes are recommended. Keep in mind that mud likes to steal your shoes, and everything else, via suction so please ensure that you keep your shoes on. Some participants will use duct tape over their running shoes to keep them on their feet. Other participants find that minimal sole shoes work very well at staying on your feet.
- Loose clothes will slow you down especially if you have pockets that will hold water and mud!
- We highly recommend costumes to make it even more fun!
Think of this an international flight. Give yourself 2 hours to get through traffic, parking and check in. We won’t X-Ray you, though!
Yes, packet pick up opens two hours before the first wave, but we recommend you pick it up earlier to avoid long lines.
Uhmmm....well, no. We'd prefer that you pick up your own registration. It keeps confusion to a minimum.
Please leave your pets at home and unleash your inner animal.
Yes, we will have 1-2 water aid stations on course. We recommend caring a camelback or similar hydration system if you feel you will need more.
No, we don’t feel the need to torture our participants with electricity. We’d rather use it to power our DJ party.
This is not that kind of event; so, keep your bug collection at home.
Some of our events will have water obstacles. Most of them, however, will be in water no deeper than 4 feet. Walk it, if you can’t swim. If there is an obstacle that requires swimming, you can skip it.
No problem, just go around it. It gives you something to strive for the next time around.
Yes, an area will be provided for participants to rinse off with cold water after the race. A change of clothes and a few towels for post race cleanup is highly recommended – we will have limited bag check availability.
